Admission Procedure

 Eligibility: Those who have passed P.U.C or equivalent Course are eligible to seek admission to                undergraduate courses.
     Admissions will be made to the Degree classes as per the regulations of the  State Government, the University and the College. Dates for the issue and submission of the application forms will be announced in the college notice board. Duly filled in application forms should be submitted on or before the last date fixed. Applications submitted after the last date will not be entertained.

  • Those who are allotted seats should submit original and two xerox copies of Marks Card and the T.C. The Students should be physically present at the time of admission and sign in the admission register.
  • Applicationspp, which are incomplete & without necessary documents will be rejected. Selected candidates should submit all necessary documents in originals and pay the fees before the expiry of the last date & get admitted. Students who do not admit themselves before that last date will lose the right of admission. Admitted students, seeking transfer to some other college will have to pay full amount of fees fixed for the whole academic year.
  • Two 11" x 4" self addressed envelops with Rs. 5/- postage stamp to be submitted.

 1. Undergraduate Courses


    • BA, B.SC, BBM, B.Com, BCA ,BBA

  • A candidate who has passed two years Pre-university Examinations conducted by Pre-university board of education in the state of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore is eligible for admission to the first semester to the course. For B.Sc course only students who have passed PUC or its equivalent with science subjects are eligible.

  • (a) Students who have passed any JOC(10+2) are eligible to join first semester B.A

    (b) Students who have passed the following of (10+2) are eligible to join I semester degree      course as detailed here under.

    (c) (i) A candidate who has passed 3 years Diploma in Commercial and Secretarial Practice           conducted by the Department of technical Education, Government of Karnataka is           eligible for admission to III semester B.Com/B.B.M. directly. However such a candidate           has to pass the language of first two semesters. Such candidate will not be subjected           to any IA in these papers. And, for eventual calculation 80 marks is equated to 100           marks.
         (ii) A Candidate who has passed two year Diploma in Business Administration conducted           by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka is eligible for           admission to V semester B.Com / B.B.M degree course subject to condition that the           candidate has to pass papers in languages and all compulsory pages of first four           semesters of B.Com / B.B.M. Such candidate will not be subjected to any IA in these           papers. However, for eventual calculation 80 marks is equated to 100 marks.

  2. Post Graduate Courses:

         MA(Economics) & M Com

  • Candidates possessing a degree of University of Mysore or of any other University equivalent there to and complying with the eligibility criterion are eligible for admission to Post Graduate degree courses.
  • To become eligible for admission to M.Com (4 Semester/2 Years), the candidate should have obtained B.Com / B.B.M / BCS / B.Sc degree with Commerce as optional subject.
  • To become eligible for admission to M.A (Economics) the Candidates should have obtained B.A / B.Sc degree with Economics as optional subject.
  • Candidates applying for admission to Post Graduate course in Economics (M.A) / Commerce (M.Com) shall have obtained minimum of 45% (40% for SC / ST and Cat-I Candidates) of aggregate marks in cognate / optional subjects in all the years of qualifying examination.
  • In case the candidate has taken longer than the prescribed duration to pass the qualifying examination, a deduction of 3% from the percentage of the aggregate marks of cognate/optional subjects for every additional year shall be affected and such candidates should have obtained a prescribed minimum marks, even after such deduction to become eligible for admission.

  3. Master of Philosophy(Under Progress):

  • M Phil(Economics)

    Any student who has passed M.A Degree in Economics / M.Sc in Ag.Economics of Mysore University or any other University treated as equivalent with a minimum 55% of marks or ‘B+’ grade scale(50% or B grade in the case of SC/ST/Cat-I students).

  • M Phil(Commerce)

    Any students who has passed M.Com / MBA / MFAM degree of Mysore University or any other University treated as equivalent with a minimum 55% of marks or ‘B+’ grade in graded scale(50% or B grade in the case of SC/ST/Cat-I students)

  4. Documents to be produced by foreign nationals/Non-karnataka students:

      Eligibility certificate issued by the college.


      a. MA English b. MSc in Chemistry from 2014-2015

  6. UGC Sponsored B vocational courses from 2014-2015

      a. Software Development b. Retail Management
